Everything about how PAY moves money, in plain language.
Payments
Send SOL to an X @username instead of a wallet address. PAY looks up the X account, finds the wallet its owner connected, and your wallet signs the transfer directly — PAY never holds payment funds.
- The recipient must have joined PAY and connected a wallet. Payments to @usernames that haven't joined are refused, not held.
- Only SOL is supported.
- A payment only shows as confirmed after Solana confirms it, with a Solscan link. Double clicks can't send twice.
Launching a coin
Launching is permissionless: no PAY account and no X sign-in needed.
- Enter the X @username the coin is for. PAY checks it's a real X account.
- Add name, ticker, description, image (PNG, JPG, WEBP or GIF, up to 5MB) and an optional project website.
- Choose the first buy — minimum 0.001 SOL.
- Pay 0.1 SOL, everything included (0.075 SOL first buy + 0.025 SOL network cost), to the fresh address made just for your launch.
- PAY creates the coin on pump.fun. It's marked live only after Solana confirms it.
Every coin launched through PAY has PAY's official X (@UsePayMoney) as its X link. The @username the coin is for is separate — it decides who owns the fees.
Fee & dev wallets
Every launch gets two brand-new wallets that are never reused:
- Fee wallet — creates the coin on pump.fun, so that coin's creator fees land in a vault only it controls. One coin's fees can never mix with another's.
- Dev wallet — receives the tokens from the first buy. The verified X owner can reveal its private key exactly once, then import it into their own wallet.
Creator fees (99/1)
When a coin earns creator fees, they're split the moment they're credited:
- 99% to the X account the coin was launched for.
- 1% to the PAY Buyback Treasury.
Example: 1 SOL of fees → 0.99 SOL claimable by the X owner, 0.01 SOL to the treasury. The launcher gets nothing unless they are that X owner. Unclaimed fees stay with the @username forever — they're never swept to PAY. See every entry in the Fee Ledger.
Claiming
- Go to Claims and sign in with the X account the coins were launched for.
- X confirms you own it — no screenshots or codes to post.
- Enter the Solana wallet you want paid to.
- Claim. Your 99% is sent on-chain with a Solscan link. The same fees can never be claimed twice.
You only ever see and claim coins tied to your own X account.
Buybacks
The Buyback Treasury collects the 1%. Once PAY is live and buybacks are switched on, it checks every 5 minutes; when at least 0.05 SOL has built up, it buys PAY with price-impact limits and holds it — nothing is burned. It never touches creators' 99%. Buybacks are paused until the PAY token is live. Track it on Buybacks.
Security
- Per-coin wallet keys are encrypted on PAY's server and never sent to browsers, stored in plain text or logged.
- Only the verified X owner of a coin can reveal its dev key, and only once — after that nobody, including PAY admins, can reveal it again.
- Launches, payments and claims are protected against retries and double-spending.
- PAY never asks for your seed phrase or wallet private key.
FAQ
- Do I need an account to launch?
- No. You only need X sign-in to claim fees.
- Can I launch a coin for someone else?
- Yes. Their fees wait for them until they sign in with X and claim.
- What if I send the wrong deposit amount?
- Each launch has its own payment address. If you send less, top it up to the amount shown; anything extra still goes toward the launch.
- Does PAY charge a platform fee?
- No launch fee. PAY's only share is the 1% of creator fees that buys back PAY.
- What's the official PAY token?
